Shoulder Girdle/Arm Complex Function with Karen H. Carlson

This lecture/demonstration will unravel the complexities of pectoral girdle and upper appendage function for clarity in movement and performance. Identifying specifics in the actions at the glenohumeral and sternoclavicular joints will further elucidate their collaboration in scapulohumeral synergy. Functional anatomy, kinesiology, classification of gesture, and developmental patterns will be discussed. Additionally, there will be mobilization and stabilization activities to embody theory.
