Lea Yeager, founder of SpringHaus Pilates & Wellness, has been teaching Pilates and movement for nearly 30 years. She holds a BFA in Dance from Temple University and performed, taught, and choreographed extensively. She worked as a strength and conditioning trainer and began teacher-training studies in Pilates and Yoga in 1999. In 2002, it was her great fortune to be invited to study and work with her mentor, Pilates Master Trainer, Karen H. Carlson. After completing Carlson’s highly rigorous, advanced 2 year Pilates teacher-training program in 2004, she became the coordinator for Carlson’s education program, assisted her in workshops in the US and Canada, and continued working side by side with her until 2020. In 2021, Yeager received her license in massage therapy, and uses this knowledge in support of her clients’ movement experience. Her continued education over the last twenty years has included studies in anatomy, functional movement, human dissection, and scoliosis. She believes the intelligence, beauty and efficacy of the Pilates method is best experienced when rooted in the science of anatomy and kinesiology. She brings attention to detail and creativity to her work and enjoys a diverse clientele of human/bodies, helping them to find joy and fitness in movement.

Patricia’s background in both dance & athletics influences her Pilates teaching, focusing on form and incorporating fun and inventive twists to the classical work. Her goal is that by sharing knowledge about the body, it will empower clients to continue on their own. She received her Pilates certification through the Drexel Pilates Training Program in 2012, with director Jennifer Morely. In 2017 and 2020 she completed a 2-year graduate level teacher training with Master teacher Karen Carlson. Both teachers have had an enormous impact on Patricia’s education and development as a Pilates instructor, including Carlson’s lifelong research of the biomechanical breakdown of the classical Pilates work into functional families which heavily influences Patricia’s teaching.

Meagan Macklin first became interested in anatomy and the beauty of human movement in art school and found a love of teaching while abroad. She received her B.S. in Health Sciences and obtained a Therapeutic Massage Therapy certification from Lourdes Institute in 2005. She has been a bodyworker since, motivated by the rewarding practice of helping people ease their musculoskeletal discomfort through stretching, movement and manual therapies. She loves to learn and has taken numerous courses in various modalities including myo-fascial release, guasha, cupping, sports massage among many others. She has worked with the Eagles, the 76ers, the Pennsylvania Ballet as well as in private practice, using manual therapies, stretching and isolated strengthening to provide efficiency of movement and function. She completed the Drexel Classical Pilates teacher training program (2022 - 2023) and especially loves adapting Pilates exercises and concepts in ways that will benefit people that need the work to enjoy a better quality of life. As someone with EDS and a mother of two whose body changed dramatically with each pregnancy & birth, she has had to alter many classical exercises in order to perform them comfortably and enjoys working with other hypermobile or physically compromised individuals to help find what works best for them.
